Yes, the header is meant to be humourous… Easy!
I readily admit to being an SBW fan. I can still remember his influence on the Bulldogs, when they won their Premiership, before his time took a turn for the worse, with such a development encouraging a hope that he would see the All Black light and come south for a shot at the real deal big time.
However, the good news about Sonny Bill Williams continues…
First, SBW commits himself to the All Blacks, then the Crusaders and Canterbury, and now he has registered with my old club, Belfast. I still have my award for scoring over 100 points in the Under 16 grade… Okay, so it was only a certificate, but it still counts.
SBW’s decision would seem to have the Wayne Smith influence all over it, as this was and is his first rugby stomping ground.
It is still some weeks to go until the ITM Cup gets underway, and with his key-hole surgery pushing his debut a couple of weeks back, we still have some time to wait until we see SBW in the rugby-flesh. One would think a place on the End of Year Tour is his to lose, which means we could be seeing quite a bit of the man in the coming months.
May he live up to the hype.
Given what other more qualified people have said on the man, I am inclined to think that he will!
