As I write this, I am once again ensconced in the cerebral settings of Laidlaw College, Auckland!
It has been a busy few days for I am Jonny King, hence the lack on activity of the blog front. That, and the fact that we have been afflicted with the devil’s dial-up! I have much to digress on, the least of which was a certain rugby match that a certain blogger was “surprised” to potentially be enjoying. I say potential, because while we may be self-deceived, the scoreboard unfortunately is not so sympathetic… or delusional!
Therefore, such a happening deserves some reflection, but grace does not have to be so inclined, so we will have to wait and see on that one!
While the sun has seemingly risen and set on our reality this day in Auckland, the Son never completes such tricks of the trade, therefore, movingly seemlessly on, this post is merely a quickie, to inform you of the recent happenings, and incline you to visit often and stay long as there are more postings afoot!
However, before I go, here are some words from Jerry Bridges, from The Joy of Fearing God, a book well worth its price of flesh. Speak Jerry, Speak…
We will trust Him only to the extent that we genuinely stand in awe of Him.
Short in words, but long in meditation!
Until Next Time
I am still, even in Auckland, Jonny King

Hey Jonny Do you listen to Josh Harris – Pastor at Covenant Life
Yes, Josh “I kissed dating goodbye” Harris, is someone whose ministry I appreciate and am thankful for.
I haven’t listened to him preaching much at all, but I have a couple of his books, get his blog feed to my MORE NEWS FROM YOUR WORLD page, and visit his site.
His younger brothers are doing some great stuff as well. Their co-authored book, “Do Hard Things” is a very good read, particularly as a call for the younger generation. I have read it and Jordan our eldest has read it.
You enjoy his ministry Oz? I see you get his feed, so I am thinking you listen to his preaching. The guys who I have listen to over the recent-ish past, and find to be grand have been, Tim Keller, Mark Driscoll, and D. A. Carson.
However, in saying that, I haven’t listen to many mp3′s lately. More book work you see!
